Willie Nelson

Country music legend and multiple Grammy Award-winner Willie Nelson will perform at the 2011 Jackson County Fair

Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson, a legend of country music for over 50 years, will take the stage at the 2011 Jackson County Fair on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Over the course of his long and celebrated career, Willie Nelson has penned more than 2,500 songs and released nearly 300 albums. His 1975 release Red Headed Stranger contained his first #1 hit, “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain,” which also won Willie his first Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance. Willie went on to win several Grammy Awards for individual, duo and group performance, and was nominated for an Academy Award for his song “On the Road Again.”

Willie continues to tour regularly, playing 150-200 shows a year. But it’s not every day – or even every year or decade – that a music superstar comes to Jackson County. This is your chance to see a living legend perform on stage during one of Jackson County’s most celebrated events, the Jackson County Fair.
